TEMPORARY ACCESS FOR LIVE HV & UTILITIES.
Heavy-duty modular access engineered for power generation, substations, switchrooms, transmission infrastructure, and maintenance around high-energy electrical assets.

Specifications at a Glance
Taurus combines heavy-duty structural capacity with lower system mass and an engineered break in the continuous metal-to-metal pathway found in conventional metallic scaffold.
Access Gets More Complex Around Energized Infrastructure
Temporary access in power and utility environments has to work around high-energy equipment, restricted work zones, heavy maintenance scopes, and defined outage windows. Traditional steel scaffold can introduce three additional challenges:
Continuous Metallic Pathways
Conventional metallic systems create an interconnected conductive structure that must be considered when access is positioned near energized infrastructure.
High Component Mass
Steel adds substantial transport and handling weight across large sites, elevated work areas, and restricted plant access routes.
Time on the Critical Path
On planned outages and maintenance programs, access has to be erected, used, and removed without consuming more of the available work window than necessary.
Where Taurus Fits Across Energy & Utilities
Power Generation & Steam-Cycle Plant
Heavy-duty access for turbine halls, generator areas, boiler and steam-cycle equipment, and elevated maintenance scopes.
Substations & Switchrooms
Temporary access in high-voltage environments where electrical separation, access geometry, and site-specific controls need to be considered together.
Transmission & Critical Utility Infrastructure
Modular access for maintenance and project work associated with transmission assets and other critical electrical infrastructure.
Planned Outages & Maintenance Programs
Rapid erection and dismantling where access needs to be established and cleared within a defined maintenance or shutdown window.
Taurus specifically identifies substations, switchrooms, and transmission infrastructure among its live HV applications. The system has also been field deployed within an active substation and switchroom perimeter in Australia.

What Matters in Live HV Environments
1. Engineered Electrical Discontinuity
Traditional steel and aluminum scaffold systems create continuous metal-to-metal pathways through their connected components. Taurus uses structural-polymer joint interfaces at its connection nodes to interrupt that continuity. The electrical characteristic is built into the system architecture rather than added through temporary insulating covers or accessories.
2. Heavy-Duty Capacity at Lower System Mass
Taurus delivers a certified 1,488 lbs (675 kg) heavy-duty platform rating while using a system approximately 50% lighter than comparable structural steel scaffold. This reduces the amount of material crews need to transport, lift, position, and remove (particularly valuable across large plants, restricted access areas, and multi-shift maintenance programs).
3. Fast Modular Deployment
The proprietary wedge-lock connection system is designed for fast, repeatable assembly and dismantling, keeping your access work within tight schedules.
Plan Access Around the Work
Temporary access should be considered alongside the work scope, electrical environment, site constraints, and maintenance schedule.
